WHY CHOOSE DEAP?

Small classes: We have small class sizes where each student is given the help they need

Advisory: 10-13 students are paired with a DEAP mentor to create a school “family”. The advisor is the primary contact with student families

Service learning for community action & leadership: students learn how to be leaders by planning and taking action in the community through service 

Experiential learning in agriculture education: students learn first hand Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics concepts through agriculture as well as gaining a life long work-ethic 

Diné empowerment through cultural revitalization & relevancy: students embrace Diné culture and language through a variety of activities, classes and experiences to nurture their identities and communities

Wellness & perseverance philosophy: students learn how to achieve holistic wellness through goal setting, action and reflection

College & Career Readiness: DEAP curriculum is designed to give students the skills they need to apply to college or other career options. DEAP students are expected to apply to at least 7 colleges.
